Did you know that local birds and bees depend upon native plants to survive? These plants provide energy for the creatures passing through on their migrations, which is especially important during the cooler months when food can be scarce. Luckily, we live in an area where we can enjoy colorful native plants 365 days a year, and do our part to keep our butterflies, birds and other fauna alive in zone 8.
Attend this session, taught by Nell Howard, Master Gardener, to learn how to incorporate native plants into your existing landscapes. Find out which butterflies and birds you should expect to see as a result of doing this.
There will be free native seeds and native plants for lucky attendees!
