Caroline Trails Park
American Beautyberry
Located between Caroline Blvd. and Hampton Crossing, Lake Caroline's 11 acre park is studded with native trees such as pine, plum and black tupelo. Residents are often seen walking the one mile trail that winds among the trees and over several wooden bridges. A pond with a water feature located at the end of the park near Caroline Crossing is a tranquil spot to read a book or enjoy a picnic. Nature lovers will enjoy identifying many of the trees by their markers, which contain scientific names and classifications. Home to many birds and squirrels, deer are occasionally seen at dusk and dawn. Children love the playset and pitchback while adults enjoy relaxing on benches or sitting at the picnic tables. Trash and pet waste receptacles are available throughout the park.
