On Wednesday, December 17, Jim Crews met with the Board at noon to provide an update regarding recent events, specifically the Public Service Commission (PSC) ruling and outlined the path forward in light of the PSC's decisions.
Later that afternoon, Jim Herring delivered documents to the Mississippi Supreme Court. The upcoming rate case will be presented first before the Supreme Court. The schedule for this case will depend on the Briefing Schedule set by the Court.
Additionally, Mr. Herring and Mr. Crews informed the Board that the PSC has requested that matters concerning the quality of water and sewer services be filed separately from the rate case. This separation will allow the PSC to consider these quality issues independently.
Camden Dam
You may notice activity on Camden Lake. Burns Cooley Dennis has been engaged to perform subsurface exploration and provide geotechnical design services for the new spillway conduit and riser. Two piezometers will be installed along the existing pipe also.

A Long Winter’s Nap
What efforts! A huge thank you to the Ladies of the Lake and Santa’s elves for Cookies with Santa. Volunteer community events like these make Lake Caroline such a wonderful place. You deserve a long winter's nap.
It’s also delightful to see the twinkling of lights throughout the neighborhood. Thank you for sharing your Christmas Spirit.
Holiday Greetings
Saw the first bufflehead of the season last week! It’s exciting to see new species of waterfowl that choose our lakes as winter homes.
Ho, ho, ho! And, a giggle… oh, what I’ve put my family through over the years.
I hope you and your loved ones have a safe and peaceful holiday season.
Merry Christmas,
Allison
